Homemade Ranch Dressing

I am getting ready to head to Nashville this week. I am so excited to be a Community Leader at Blissdom. It is my first big blogging conference, and I am really looking forward to meeting other bloggers that are as passionate about good food and blogging as I am. Not only that, but I am so excited to visit Nashville. I have always wanted to go there, and now I will be there for 5 days. It is nice to get out of my yoga pants, actually put makeup on, and talk to grown ups. I will miss my husband … [Read more...]

Salted Spiced Caramel Sauce [Week 6 of 12 Weeks of Christmas]

salted spiced caramel sauce recipe

Of all of the things that I have made this fall, this is the thing that I have made the most.  It has been my most requested recipe, and for good reason.  It is insanely delicious.  The texture is exquisite, and the flavors to die for.  Cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, and sea salt, swimming in a sea of creamy caramel.  I have used it to dip apples, on top of ice cream, and of course, straight from a spoon.  My friend Kristi had the great idea to add some to her morning oatmeal.  I found it on … [Read more...]

Slow Cooker Apple Butter

slow cooker apple butter recipe

Now that fall is starting to make an appearance, I want my house to smell warm and spicy.  Making a batch of slow cooker apple butter is the best way I know to permeate my home with the smells of fall.  Apple, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves make me want to put on a chunky sweater and watch football.  Well, almost.  How about me get comfy on the couch with a good book while the kids and my husband watch football.  That sounds better. Apple butter is delicious spread on some toast, but … [Read more...]
