It sure is hot around these parts. We had such a mild beginning to our summer and then, BAM! 100+ degrees for days at a time. I really want to make pretty cookies. I am really jealous of people that make these works of art that I wouldn't even want to eat. I try really hard and my cookies always end up looking like my 2 year old made them. So last night, I decided that the only way that I was going to get better at making beautiful cookies was to practice and practice some more. Remember my Marinated Mozzarella recipe? You do? Awesome. Well, this is a variation of that and it is nothing short of amazing. Salty feta with lemon, rosemary and red pepper flakes. I like to eat my Grilled Chicken Skewers like a sandwich. I spread some Yogurt Herb Dipping Sauce on the inside of a pita. When I was in high school, I had pretty much the best job ever. I worked in an ice cream parlor that served homemade ice cream. I used to work in the back and made batch after batch of ice cream. A few years ago, I decided to change up my Thanksgiving dinner a bit. I was watching Let's Talk Turkey on the Food Network, which happens to be my absolute favorite week of the year, and saw someone (I cannot remember who for the life of me) brine a turkey before they roasted it.
