The best part of the Super Bowl? The game day snacks. Some classic game day grub that everyone will love.

Cheddar Pigs in a Blanket

Let’s just say that my son is having a hard time accepting that the Pats aren’t headed to the Super Bowl this year. After the game, he needed some time to process the loss and mourn. He takes his football very personally and is very emotional about the whole thing. While I don’t get it, I will comfort him nonetheless. And by comfort, I mean not laugh at him – it’s just a game.

My husband on the other hand, is a Panthers fan and is a huge Peyton Manning fan, it will be interesting to see which side he roots for. I know that he would love to see Peyton have the most epic game of his career and retire on top. We shall see.

As for me, I root for the game day snacks. Here are a few game day snacks that I think you will love.

Cheddar Pigs in a Blanket with Mustard Sauce – Pigs in a Blanket are one of those things that people might not admit that they love, but it never fails to be the first thing to go at any party. Homemade crescent rolls dough (super easy, I promise) and cheddar cheese rolled around a cocktail dog.

baked chili cheese fries

Baked Chili Cheese Bacon Fries with Homemade Ranch Dressing – These are chili flavored, and incredible! Serving them in a cast iron pan also makes the presentation really cute.

Homemade Queso Dip

Homemade Queso – this is a great recipe because you can reheat it easily. The herb cheese (Boursin) stabilizes it so that it will not break when you need to loosen it up.

hot corn dip

Hot Corn Dip – Everyone loves this dip. While I’ll always pick fresh summer corn, frozen corn works just fine here.

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Nachos

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Nachos – Because you can’t have a Super Bowl party without nachos. These just happen to be my favorite.
