Yesterday I made my cookies for Week 2 of 12 Weeks of Christmas Treats and they were so bad that I had to throw them away. #pinterestfail. Seriously, in good conscious, I could not share them with you. Instead, I am going to share with you one of the best cookie recipes I have ever made. I wish that I could take credit for this piece of chocolate chip cookie heaven, but I cannot. All of the credit goes to Alice Currah of Savory Sweet Life. This cookies are the perfect texture, the right amount of chewy and crispy. They are sweet and salty, which is my favorite combination in the world. I used to think that I make the best chocolate chip cookie in the world (and they are really good, and really fast, so don’t skip them completely) but there is a new sheriff in town.
I have made these many, many times since I discovered them in Alice’s gorgeous book, and so will you.
Head on over to Alice’s to grab the recipe. You can thank me later.

I am Bree. I love to cook. Even more than I love to take pictures.

I’m curious to know what the terrible cookies were. As a big Pinterest fanatic, now I’m worried I might have bum cookies under my to try board

I think that it was my fault, the pictures of the pinned cookie looked nothing like mine.

They are ridiculous!
When I read the words “savory sweet” my mind went to some kind of herb in a chocolate chip cookie and I just didn’t know what to think. But these cookies look great!
I’m still trying to find the perfect chocolate chip cookie. Maybe this will be the one
But now I’m curious as to what cookie you tried to make yesterday.
