Hold on to your hats, I have an amazing giveaway for you today! Millstone Coffee has recently launched their breathtaking new web experience – A Millstone Bean Journey. I learned so much about how what goes into my morning cup. Not only is the information interesting, but the presentation is nothing like I have ever seen before.
I am a strange bird in the fact that I do not like to drink coffee first thing in the morning. I like to have my first cup late morning, and another in the afternoon during the crazy homework hour rush. I get it now, I really do.
I adore my Keurig and am thrilled that Millstone gave me an upgrade. I love the variety that you can have using K-Cups and never get bored. I even drink tea and hot chocolate using K-Cups. Millstone has graciously offered a Baked Bree reader a chance to win one (1) Millstone Coffee Bean to Cup Tasting Kit!

I never knew such a specific altitude and climate was needed to make great coffee!
I just learned that coffee cherries are hand-picked. It makes me enjoy the cup I’m sipping right now just a bit more!
interesting that the higher the bean grows, the more acidic it will be…
Just found your blog! Looks great. What a fantastic giveaway! I love coffee!
Perfect timing….my coffee maker just broke. It’s meant to be!!!!!
I would actually make my own coffee in the mornings.

the higher the beads grow the more acidic they will become!
I like my coffee pot & grinder but a keurig would be so much easier. Plus it does make some yummy drinks.
I learned that the higher the beans grow, the more acidic they will be!
I learned that acidity keeps the coffee from tasting dull or muted!
I learned that coffee bean can only be grown in very select areas of the world
I had no idea such specific tempatures were required to cultivate great coffee!
“During the roasting process, the bean swells to twice its size, turns brown, and begins to secrete essential coffee oil.” Mmmm. That sounds delicious! Anyone else curious how a ripe coffee cherry tastes?
maybe i’d make my coffee when i wake up instead of at 2pm!
I learned that the higher beans grow, the more acidic they’ll be.
I didn’t know coffee beans started out as a fruit.
I didn’t know that once fully formed, the fruit changes from green to yellow, and finally to a bright, glossy red. They dry it then and it turns brown. I didn’t know that I thought they were beans that were brown.
What a wonderful treat you are offering. I love enjoying my coffee on my porch in the am out here in the Shenandoah Valley of VA.
Drying can take anywhere from 7 to 21 days, depending on the weather conditions!!
I learned that acidity is important with the taste of coffee
I learned that they start as a fruit. Another reason to love coffee:-)
I was also surprised that they are handpicked.
I didn’t realize coffee beans had to be hand picked.
I had no clue the beans grew inside coffee cherries!
I had no idea that altitude affected acidity! I love coffee so hard.
Who knew temperature affected the taste of the coffee bean.
I learned that the beans are hand picked, I hadn’t realized that. Pretty cool!
longer roasting=more robust flavor
The altitude of a tree can affect the flavor of the coffee
the higher the beans grow the more acidic they become
