I hope that all of you had the Happiest of Thanksgivings. I spent the week getting ready for my favorite holiday with my mom and grandmother in New Jersey. We had so much fun being in the kitchen together and cooking. We laughed, told stories, and it made me really happy to be home for Thanksgiving for the first time in over 10 years. My brother recently got engaged, we are having an engagement party for him and his fiance and it is so nice to everyone together for the first time in many, many years.

I’m off to get in as much QT as I can. In the meantime, I wanted to share this recipe with you that I made for Dixie Crystals. Apple Pound Cake with Rum Glaze is moist, tender, and the rum glaze, takes this simple cake to another place.

  • Hi Bree, I just made this cake, (no rum, so no glaze). It is delicious and the whole house smells of buttery goodness! Next time I make it I will be sure to have some rum on hand to make the glaze. I baked it to have for breakfast but I don’t know if I can wait ’till then for another piece.
