When Nespresso reached out and asked me if I wanted to participate in their Festive Finds campaign, I jumped at the chance. In fact, I got the email in the car on the way to Newbury Street in Boston and a trip to the Nespresso store was already on our list of things to do that day. Perfect timing, huh? We live about an hour and a half to Boston and try to go as often as we can. On this particular day, we had no plans other than to stock up on some Nespresso pods, take a walk around and watch the city transform into a winter wonderland. I’d say that’s festive, wouldn’t you?
We started the day with a stop into the boutique to grab some pods and ended up staying for a drink. There is a cute sitting area and it was full of other families doing the exact same thing. Warming up – it was really cold outside.
Look at all those beautiful machines.
If I need some holiday inspiration, Anthropologie is the first place I look. My taste runs more “winter” than Christmas. I don’t have a lot of red and green decorations – more neutrals, metallic, and natural. Anthropologie never disappoints. I bought a few candles and some champagne flutes for a gift.
Next stop was Crate and Barrel. We were on the hunt for some living room chairs. We test drove the ones that we liked online. It is hard to buy chairs online, you never know if they are going to be comfy or not. They were winners, so we bought those and they should be here next week.
Ahhhh, Pottery Barn, you kill me with your sparkly winter wonderland. I walked in saw this table and wanted to bring every single piece home with me. I love mercury glass and snow and the little paper houses are the sweetest.
I did end up buying these adorable mugs for the kids. They no longer have them online, but I need to go back and get a few more. They are the perfect size for hot chocolate.
We left the city and made a stop at my favorite place to find vintage pieces on the way home. Brick Kiln Farm is right down the street from me and I always find a treasure whenever I go in there. I got the gold tree, the wire hanger (perfect for Christmas cards and will hold just regular pictures after the holidays) that is behind the door and the boxwood wreath. I love mixing new and old in my house.
I found the milk carrier there too. I love filling it with fresh flowers.
One of my favorite areas in my house is my coffee station. I don’t have a lot of counter space in my kitchen so I came up with this solution. I love how it looks and when people are hanging out in my living room, they can help themselves to a cup of coffee. The Aeroccino makes the most decadent froth, even with almond or coconut milk.
I also love how pretty the pods are so I display them in glass jars.
