Happy Friday: Volume 14

Happy Friday!

My husband was gone for 8 days, but it felt like 6 weeks. I picked him up from the train this morning and was glad to have my battle buddy back.

Why is everything scheduled for the week that you need to solo parent? I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it until I’m blue in the face. I have so much respect for single parents. It’s a tough gig. I’m weirdly productive when I’m the only adult home, but I also don’t seem to get any sleep. It doesn’t feel like the workload doubles, it feels like it quadruples.

Thank you so much for the kind messages about my last post. It is always nice to know that you are not alone. It seems I am not the only one that doesn’t know what the next thing is. In a lot of ways, I feel like I have more in common with my teens than ever before. None of us know what we want to be when we grow up.

This is the first weekend in a while that all five of us will be home. I really don’t love when we are all over the place. William has been on a few snowboarding trips, Wes has been to the states twice in less than a month. I’m looking forward to us being in the same place this weekend. Chances are good that we will all be in different rooms ignoring each other (#lifewithteens), but we’ll be doing it together.

Tonight, we are going to make homemade pizza and not much else. It sounds like the perfect evening.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Yes. Yes, we do.

Very seriously considering this. I’ve been fighting this since I was 18.

I love your blog but find the font very hard to read on my 17″ laptop screen. . The lines of the font are so thin, and light and the size is so small that I sometimes give up. I do not like to enlarge my screen every time for just your blog :).. Thank you.
