Happy Friday: Volume 19

Frühlingsfest Stuttgart

Happy Friday: Volume 19 // Frühlingsfest in Stuttgart, taking my Part 107 test, and sweet and savory pretzel recipes.

I hope that you had a nice Easter weekend. Ours was low key. We were exhausted after the week. Moving is stressful and we were so tired after the pack out that we pretty much sat on the couch on Saturday and watched movies all day.

Normally, I make a huge Easter brunch or dinner, but that wasn’t happening this year, so we went to Fest for Easter instead. It was so much fun. No one was there and we didn’t have to wait in line for anything. I love Fest. The rides are fun and the snacks are exceptional.

PCS to Sttugart

Now that my house is empty, I have a lot of time on my hands. I’d normally spend my day cooking and shooting, but my kitchen and studio is packed and on its way to Boston. The first day felt decadent. I read a book, watched a million YouTube videos, and was so lazy.

By day 2, I was so bored I realized that I need a project or I’m going to go mad. (Don’t get me wrong, I still watch a lot of YouTube.)

Two years ago when we were getting ready to move here I decided to work on my FAA Part 107 license to fly a drone commercially. Once we got here and I realized that there are very few places to fly a drone legally I put it aside. I started back up again and am going to take the test this summer.

Even though I am only flying a 4-pound drone, I still have to do the same ground school that my husband did when he was going through pilot training. I have a new appreciation for how hard flight school must have been. It’s a lot to remember.

This weekend involves soccer games, track meets, and hopefully a trip to the biergarten.

Have a great weekend!

This the Part 107 class that I am taking. The Kings apparently are the best, but be warned that they like a pun and a dad joke.

I’m always on the hunt for these to wear in the spring and summer.

Oat milk is everywhere these days, here’s how to make it at home

I have some of these in my freezer and kept a baking sheet for emergencies.

I’m a dreamer. And the summary is pretty spot on tbh.

I really like when people encourage plant-based eating in a realistic way. Not all the time, but any effort is worth it.

What to do when you are offended.

Marketers need to get more creative with influencers.

And why all the hate for influencers anyway? This is a spicy take, but I get it.

Not sharing your opinion and happiness. It isn’t burying your head in the sand, it’s just engaging all the time.

One can only hope. #freeinstagramfromtheperfectgrid

Another reason that I am counting the minutes to be near Target again.

Do these people think they are the first people ever to have a baby? The drop off cooler is my FAVORITE.

Weird and wonderful things about Germany. Will was scarred about milk for a long time and they really do have a thing for white asparagus.

I didn’t read anything new, but I did buy something that I’m really into so I thought that I would share it.

I bought this makeup case for the move and I absolutely love it. You can move the sliders to make custom slots for all of your stuff. It’s sturdy and has slots for my brushes. Did I mention that it is less than $20?
