Herb Grilled Chicken with Pesto Pasta Salad

Grilled Chicken with Pesto Pasta Salad

I love to grocery shop. When I am traveling, I always make sure to check out the grocery store wherever I am. I love seeing the new products and walking up and down the aisles and being inspired. When I have time, it is one of my favorite things to do.

When I don’t have a lot of time, I love having my groceries delivered. I know a lot of people can be wary of the idea of having someone else grocery shop for them (I know this because I used to be wary myself). I always worried that they wouldn’t give me the best produce, or that I would spend too much time trying to find things on the website. Or that my ice cream would melt before it got to me.

None of these things were true. Having my groceries delivered is my #1 time saver, and helps to keep my house stocked with better food choices. I cook more and we eat better. I spend less money (less impulse buys and my kids aren’t adding things to the cart). I like that I can grocery shop while sitting on my couch at 10pm and it magically appears the next day. You pick a window for delivery times and it’s as simple as that.

The truck sends me a text when I am the next delivery, so there isn’t any guessing.

The groceries come inside and all I have to do is put them away. It is life changing.

I live in a very touristy area in the summertime and I will avoid the store like the plague on weekends. Often, we don’t leave the house very much on the weekends because it is hard to get around, park, etc. That doesn’t mean that I don’t need to get groceries or need anything. Having my groceries delivered saves my sanity. I avoid the crowds and get more time to hang out with my people. It’s a win-win.

When Peapod asked to develop some recipes for their new website, From the Pod, it is an easy yes because I was already a huge fan and user. Their new site is really cool, you can browse recipes and add the ingredients you need right to your cart. How easy is that? I’m going to be sharing some more recipes that I created for them in the upcoming months.

My first recipes up on the website are Herb Grilled Chicken and a Whole Grain Pesto Pasta Salad. You can click over and grab the full recipes.

If you haven’t given grocery delivery a try, I think you should give it a go, it has made my life so much easier.

I don’t think we have a grocery delivery service that will come so far out in the country where we are, but it would be fabulous not to have to drive to town to shop.

The herb grilled chicken with pesto pasta salad is one my family would enjoy. I have to make this soon.

I’m just the same as you! I love to check out grocery shops when I am travelling but I also love the convenience of home delivered groceries. I wasn’t that excited about the quality of fruit and veg that were selected for me so I now get non perishables and dairy delivered and go and buy my meat and fresh produce myself (which gives me my weekly shopping fix and ensures I always choose the best of the best!)

That is an excellent idea! I still like to go to the farmers market too.
