Make Ahead Pancakes

make ahead pancakesToday I am over at The Creative Mama and we are having Make Ahead Pancakes for breakfast this weekend. Thin and delicate pancakes topped with sliced strawberries and pure maple syrup. Yum. The best part? You can make this breakfast half asleep. I speak from experience.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sounds like you are settling into your home quite nicely, Bree. The neighborhood sounds perfect. So happy for you and the family… Cheers! X

Those pancakes look great! Do you think they would still be good if I used fat free milk instead of buttermilk? That’s all I have–and I don’t have any vinegar either. Thanks!

I would make some buttermilk using lemon juice or white vinegar. Add a teaspoon or so per cup of milk and let it sit for a few minutes. It will curdle like buttermilk. In recipes like these, it really adds to the texture and the flavor.

I wish I had these whipped up right now. We leave on vacation in a couple hours and I have zero breakfast plans. I don’t want to dirty a bunch of dishes making something either… so… I’m hungry. These look amazing.

This better than actually making brunch today. Less clean up too! GREG
