This post will be a drive by. We lost our great-aunt this week and I am in NJ spending time with my family and celebrating her life.
I made these marshmallow pretzel bars a few weeks ago to bring to a friend’s house. These are a fun twist on the rice krispie treat. I love a dessert that you can make in 5 minutes. It took me longer to crush the pretzels than anything else. After I took the pictures, I decided to fancy them up a little and dip them in chocolate. I dipped half in the chocolate and sprinkled a little sea salt on top to make them pretty.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 3 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
- 4 Tablespoons dark chocolate chips
- 4 Tablespoons peanut butter chips
- 6 cups chopped broken mini pretzels
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
How to Make Marshmallow Pretzel Bars
Step 1: Line an 8×8 pan with foil and spray with cooking spray. Set aside. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the marshmallows.
Step 2: Stir until melted. It takes about 3 minutes.
Step 3: Take the pan off of the heat and add both chips.
Step 4: And pretzel pieces.
Step 5: Line an 8×8 pan with foil and spray with cooking spray. Press the mixture into the pan.
Step 6: Sprinkle with sea salt.
Step 7: Allow to cool before cutting. Lift the bars out of the pan and cut into squares.
Step 8: I dipped mine in chocolate and sprinkled it with extra salt.
