Welcome to my online home. Baked Bree is a place where you will find great recipes and inspiration for your next family adventure. Iʼm what you might call a multi-passionate, I am a food and family travel blogger and photographer. On this blog I share food and recipes, travel inspiration and tips, photography and films, and random bits of our life. My husband is in the US Coast Guard and we tend to move every 2-3 years. We currently live in Germany and any time that we can, we hop on a plane or train to see more of what Europe has to offer. If we arenʼt on the road, you will find me being a total homebody. I love cooking and baking, and making my house cozy and warm. I have three kids - teens and a tween and I love being their mom. (Everyone told me that teens are the worst, but
I find this age to be a delight.)
I started Baked Bree in February of 2010 to document my life in my kitchen. I said that it was a love letter to anyone that has ever come to my house for a meal.
That part is still true. Over the years it has evolved into so much more than that. This space has become my second home. I've shared my life over the years - the good and the bad. The ups and downs of moving every few years. Being a parent.
The weirdness that comes with being a 40-something woman.
I donʼt want you to think that I have it all together. I know that my Instagram feed might look like my house is always clean and that dinner is always inventive and nutritious. It also might look like we are permanent vacation, there are lots of pretty pictures of traveling around Europe. It also might look like that my kids get along all the time or that my marriage has never had a bump. It also might look like I am always confident and know who I am. I can assure you that this is not the case. Me (and everyone else on the Internet) shows you what they want you to see. It is heavily curted and not always what is happening in real life. I just need you to know that. Donʼt compare what you see on the Internet with what you have going on in your life. I have no idea what Iʼm doing most of the time, but Iʼm doing the best that I can. And you know what, thatʼs okay. Iʼm happy and content in a way that I havenʼt been in a long time. We all are just doing the best we can.
