We were housebound last weekend. It was for an unfortunate reason, we were riding out some weather, but the upside was that we had a lot of cozy family time. We spent 4 days together doing nothing more than cuddling up and being together. One of my favorite things to do is to be in the kitchen with my kids, especially on a rainy day. It can be messy and there is flour everywhere, but it is one of the best ways to spend some time with my kids. They are all getting to be at the ages where they really can help and do things.
Pillsbury asked me to make something out of their sweet rolls for their Make Any Moment Sweeter Campaign. I asked the kids what they wanted to make and they said sea turtles. Random, but okay.
Well, maybe not so random. These are our turtles, Shane and Caleb. We took a look around the pantry and used what we had. We made a game plan together and drew some pictures to decide the best way to make the rolls look like turtles. After we were done, we thought of a few other fun ideas that we could make next time. Butterflies, bats, bumblebees. Kids are so creative, I should consult with them from now on before I start any projects. I think that they turned out pretty cute, what do you think?
