Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 3 cups powdered sugar sifted
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature. This will ensure a smooth and creamy texture without any lumps.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until it's creamy and smooth, about 2 minutes. A sturdy whisk and some elbow grease will also do the trick!
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar to the cream cheese, beating on LOW after each addition. Once all the sugar has been added, increase the speed to MEDIUM and beat until fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl occasionally.
  • Add the vanilla extract. Beat on MEDIUM for an additional minute to distribute the vanilla evenly throughout the frosting.
  • Your cream cheese frosting is now ready to adorn your favorite cakes, cupcakes, or cookies. Enjoy!
