Preheat oven to 350°. Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper, letting the sides overhang. Spray with cooking spray and set aside.
Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices in a bowl. Set aside.
Cream butter and both sugars in an electric mixer on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add the eggs, yolk, and vanilla. Beat until combined.
Slowly add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Press into prepared pan. Bake for 22 to 28 minutes.
