Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef extra-lean
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes no salt added
  • 2 cups green bell peppers chopped
  • 15 oz can of tomato sauce no salt added
  • 3 cups beef broth low sodium
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup rice cooked

Instructions
 

  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion until the beef is fully cooked and onions are translucent.

  • Drain any excess fat from the beef and onion mixture and transfer to a 6-quart slow cooker.
