This buffalo blue cheese dip is the perfect way for me to get the flavor that I love without having to take a shower after eating it
The 4th of July is on Monday! 4th of July is one of my absolute favorite holidays. I love everything about it. Celebrating our country, picnics, fireworks. Everything. When you live outside of your home country for a period of time, you really appreciate the little things, like our holidays. Thanksgiving and the 4th are very strange when you are in a country that does not celebrate these holidays. Why would they? They are quintessentially American holidays. This year, we will be celebrating on base. I am not sure what that will entail. But I can bet that it will include a grill, some kids on bikes, fireworks, and new friends.
My husband’s favorite food is buffalo wings. If there is something “buffalo” style on a menu, you can bet that is what he will order. I, on the other hand, do not really like wings. I like the flavor combination of hot sauce and blue cheese, but I really do not like to eat greasy wings. This buffalo blue cheese dip is the perfect way for me to get the flavor that I love without having to take a shower after eating it. This dip is so easy, you can make it a couple of days before you want to serve it, and it only gets better.
Buffalo Blue Cheese Dip Ingredients //
- 1 (8-ounce) package of cream cheese at room temperature
- 1/2 cup flat-leaf parsley
- 1/4 cup green onions
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 Tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- carrot sticks
- chicken strips
How to Make // The Steps
Step 1: Put everything except for the blue cheese in the bowl of a food processor.
Step 2: Process until it comes together.
Step 3: Add the blue cheese and pulse a few times to incorporate.
Step 4: Transfer to a bowl and chill for a few hours.
Step 5: Serve with peeled carrots, sliced celery, chicken tenders, and some extra hot sauce. I bought these chicken tenders at the store, but they are easy to make and to make healthier.
