Buffalo Blue Cheese Dip

buffalo blue cheese dip recipe4th of July is on Monday! 4th of July is one of my absolute favorite holidays. I love everything about it. Celebrating our country, picnics, fireworks. Everything. When you live outside of your home country for a period of time, you really appreciate the little things, like our holidays. Thanksgiving and the 4th are very strange when you are in a country that does not celebrate these holidays. Why would they? They are quintessentially American holidays. This year, we will be celebrating on base. I am not sure what that will entail. But I can bet that it will include a grill, some kids on bikes, fireworks, and new friends.

My husband’s favorite food is buffalo wings. If there is something “buffalo” style on a menu, you can bet that is what he will order. I, on the other hand, do not really like wings. I like the flavor combination of hot sauce and blue cheese, but I really do not like to eat greasy wings. This dip is the perfect way for me to get the flavor that I love without having to take a shower after eating it. This dip is so easy, you can make it a couple of days before you want to serve it, it only gets better.

  • Yum! Love all things buffalo, but not such a huge fan of wings either. I make buffalo chicken dip every chance I get (when I have plenty of other people around to help eat it!). Have a great 4th here in KS Bree!

    • I love bacon and water chestnuts! I just cover mine with brown sugar and bake them. BBQ sauce sounds great.

  • I’m super stoked to try this! What is the heat level like for this recipe? We like our buffalo heat pretty high, do you think I might have to kick it up a notch? My hubby is just going to love this.
