buffalo blue cheese dip recipe

The 4th of July is on Monday! 4th of July is one of my absolute favorite holidays. I love everything about it. Celebrating our country, picnics, fireworks. Everything. When you live outside of your home country for a period of time, you really appreciate the little things, like our holidays. Thanksgiving and the 4th are very strange when you are in a country that does not celebrate these holidays. Why would they? They are quintessentially American holidays. This year, we will be celebrating on base. I am not sure what that will entail. But I can bet that it will include a grill, some kids on bikes, fireworks, and new friends.

My husband’s favorite food is buffalo wings. If there is something “buffalo” style on a menu, you can bet that is what he will order. I, on the other hand, do not really like wings. I like the flavor combination of hot sauce and blue cheese, but I really do not like to eat greasy wings. This buffalo blue cheese dip is the perfect way for me to get the flavor that I love without having to take a shower after eating it. This dip is so easy, you can make it a couple of days before you want to serve it, and it only gets better.

The recipe is delicious even in the more simplified recipe I used. I skipped the parsley, vinegar, lemon and garlic. Added lots of Frank's, even cayenne.

I'm super stoked to try this! What is the heat level like for this recipe? We like our buffalo heat pretty high, do you think I might have to kick it up a notch? My hubby is just going to love this.

I love this dip!!! I only have eaten it in restaurants, but seeing your recipe, I know I MUST make it at home!! And, even if I also love chicken wings, my boyf doesn't, so I'll take with me also your chichen nugget recipes ;) Thanks for the recipes (for all the recipes, indeed). Congratulations for this great blog, and have a nice 4th july!!! (And sorry for my bad english, I know is not very good).
