Pecan Pie Bars

pecan pie bar recipe

I got home a few hours ago from the most fun, amazing, inspiring conference ever. I was honored to be a speaker at Mixed and seriously, I can’t wait for next year. I will write more about my experience later, I need to spend some QT with my little people, but it was the best weekend ever. I am so looking forward to what is to come and what new things are on the horizon for Baked Bree.

Today I am over at LoveFeastTable for their 3rd annual Cookie Exchange. I am sharing my recipe for Pecan Pie Bars. Such a delicious dessert, and easier to make than a pie.

Head over the LoveFeastTable and see their gorgeous new recipe book (it would make a great gift, but also something special to pass on to your children) and enter to win one for yourself. To win, head on over to LoveFeastTable, read the post, and come back here and leave a comment. I will select a winner on the December 6th, 2012. Now off to snuggle!

Grandma’s Coffee Cake recipe is one for the ages. Really, anything my Grandma made is my favorite, except for meatloaf. No one has been able to redeem that one for me.

I adore the Pewter Crosshatch journal! I bought a very similar fabric just recently, and haven’t quite decided what to do with it yet.

Red Rose. Because I’m a very messy cook. It might hide the spaghetti sauce stains. Love the recipe journal!!

I don’t really have a favorite family recipe. My mom just sort of cooks whatever… but when she’s not around I tend to cook for my dad, sister, and me…. Usually my favorite recipes come from a crock pot and have this like sticky, thick, sweet bbq type sauce.

One of my favorite recipes is Shrimp Ball, one of our Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve appetizers. So good! It was a hard choice between the Pewter and Pear covers, but I guess the Pewter is more universal. I’m going to have to try those bars for a Pecan Pie fan!

i would like the cover to be Rose Red! My favorite family recipe, oh my they are more then one, but i would say my Mom’s homemade meatballs recipe is just so delish. She is disabled now and hasn’t been able to cook for some time. Boy we miss her cooking!

Bree, I am so happy that we had the chance to meet over the weekend. You out shined all of the wonderful things I have already heard about you. As well your site is gorgeous. I am glad all these goodies are virtual or I would have already gained 10 pounds since Sunday.

Oh, I am thinking I should make these when I get back this weekend. Lenny loves pecan pie, and I never make it, as I have not found a recipe I like. I am sure he will love these bars, and it will be a lovely surprise!!

I agree with you on the conference – we had an amazing time, and loved the sense of community. Learned some new tips from everyone and excited to get home to start playing around!

I’m drooling now! Those Pecan Pie Bars look soooooo yummy. Too bad my kids have nut allergies or I’d be whipping up a batch tonight. The journal is a great idea….I’m constantly writing down little tips and tidbits in random places then lose them. The Pewter Crosshatch has my vote!

Peacan pie has never really been a part of my family’s holiday gatherings, but I DO love pecan. Maybe I should make a new tradition…

Funny thing, I like bars like these better than the pie too. But…. it needs some CHOCOOOLAAATEEEE. Lol. I’m a fiend. I like to sprinkle in some chocolate chunks. πŸ™‚

I really enjoyed hearing you speak this past weekend! Can’t wait to hear about the trip from your perspective! Buying an IKEA island is top on my list, great to “roll the shot around” to get the perfect light!

I do not like chocolate with my pecan pie, but you could dip these into chocolate….

HELP!! Where is the actual recipe?? Your site is new to me, but SOOO MANY things sound DEVINE and right up my alley! I was able to pull up several of your other recipes (which I will try!!), but this one comes up blank no matter what I do. Any suggestions? PLEASE!!

What can I use as a substitute for the corn syrup?

  65. bakedbree

    June 24th, 2013 at 10:19 pm

Pecan pie is made with corn syrup, I don’t think that I would sub it out. Rice barley syrup I think you can sub with?
