I like how the brown sugar gives the ice cream a hint of caramel and just a bit of complexity. I have been asked a few times about the ice cream maker that I use and I wrote about it in my Cookies and Cream post.
I am sort of obsessed with my new ice cream maker. I love how easy it is to take a few simple ingredients and 30 minutes later it is ice cream. I am starting with simple flavors and making my way to the more complex. I made this ice cream to go along with my Cherry Buckle. - 3 cups heavy cream
- 1 vanilla bean halved and scraped
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
How To Make – Brown Sugar Ice Cream
Step 1: Pour everything into the bowl of a mixer (if you are lazy like me) or whisk in a bowl by hand.
Step 2: Pour it into your ice cream maker and freeze according to the directions. When it is done, put it into a container and let it freeze for 2 hours or until frozen.
Step 3: It tastes really good on a cherry buckle.
