I don’t know about you, but I try to balance my sugar cookies with some healthier fare this time of year. I have already made 4 chocolate rolls, countless batches of candied pecans, many cups of hot chocolate and lots of other holiday treats. Just because you want to be a little bit healthy, doesn’t mean you cannot indulge in holiday goodness.
My Eggnog Smoothies have all of the festive flavor, but none of the guilt. These smoothies are a great way to start a busy holiday morning. Frozen bananas, dates, lots of spices, almond milk, and a little dash of extract. These taste so much like the real thing, you would never guess that they are dairy-free. I topped mine with a touch of Truwhip and grated some extra nutmeg on top. It felt like a very special way to start my day.
What Does This Eggnog Smoothie Taste Like
An eggnog smoothie is a creamy, rich, and indulgent drink that is made with eggnog as the base. Eggnog is a traditional holiday drink that is made with eggs, milk, sugar, and spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. It has refreshing, smooth consistency. It would be sweet, creamy, and spicy, with a subtle eggy flavor and a hint of warmth from the spices.
