Delicious Spinach Artichoke Dip Recipe

For an appetizer so good, you’ll want to lick the bowl, try this Delicious Spinach Artichoke Dip Recipe

Honest to goodness, when I tried this recipe at my friend’s house, I offered to help clean up so I could take some bread and sponge up the very last bit of this dip. The bowl was so clean by the time my friend came into the kitchen that she thought I had washed it. I just smiled and said that it still might be good to run it through the dishwasher. And then she just smiled. And gently wiped a smidge of spinach from my chin.

This admission comes with a critical caveat. I don’t like baked spinach. And I’m not a big artichoke fan, either. But when I make this at home, without the bounds of proper societal conventions, I do lick the bowl. (I promise, though: it’s after everyone else is done eating it!).

While this is my ride-or-die appetizer, I like to prep some other fan favorites too, like Queso, Loaded Potato Dip, and Blue Cheese Bacon Dip. Colonel Sanders might have the secret recipe for chicken, but I promise: this Spinach Artichoke Dip is finger-licking good too!

FAQs

Which cream cheese should I use?

The full-fat block cream cheese will make the dip super creamy and rich. But you don’t have to limit yourself!

Can I use fresh instead of frozen spinach?

Of course! Just give it a good wash, blanch, and chop before stirring into the mix.

Can I add other ingredients to this dip?

Throw in some crispy bacon pieces for some smoky protein, diced jalapenos if you’re in the mood for some heat, or even some sun-dried tomatoes for more flavor.

Serving Suggestions

If a finger or spoon is out of the question (and it probably should be, sadly), serve this Delicious Spinach Artichoke Dip Recipe warm alongside tortilla chips, crusty bread, or a selection of fresh vegetables such as carrot sticks, bell peppers, and celery. Some people like to experiment with different flavors of chips—cheesy, spicy, etc.—but I prefer to use plain corn tortilla chips and let the dip shine. If you want to get super fancy, spoon the dip into a bread bowl before serving.

Make Ahead and How to Store

Feel free to prep this dish a day or two before serving. When you’re ready to serve, just reheat it in the oven until it’s warm and gooey. Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days.
